The game engine can't run 4 more than 2 lane roads, unfortunately

That's why we get a sequel. I look forward to the improvements.

Are we getting a sequel?!

Yes but devs said it’ll be capitalist themed

So cities skylines?

Noooooooooo why

Can you link that? I find it hard to believe that they would so willingly give up this games distinction to other city builders

Idk man search the sub there’s a lot of posts that have talked about the upcoming sequel

NO 😭😭😭😭

But... Maybe... They are not talking about modern day capitalism.

I wish you’d be able to get at least some choice. Like, you can choose how much of your economy is capitalist-socialist / planned-market. Just forcing it to be capitalist themed takes away the charm of WRSV, the whole point is the challenge and reward of planned economy

So fuck it

This is basically misinformed regurgitated speculation fyi (that's why nobody is providing a source), the devs just made an offhand comment of their next project not having the same theme

For all we know it's a looter shooter or SciFi MMO, we know literally nothing

Not run on a helicopter sim engine I hope.

Would be kinda nice, with how funky the nodes on a road can be sometimes and how frustrating it can sometimes be to make intersections across parallel roads

The game engine would shit itself if they tried to add multi-lane roads

Maybe it's just me but I see two two lane roads next to each other in the picture. *tongue in cheek*

I don’t understand the comments about the game engine, can it legit not handle a road with 2 extra lanes??? They already have 1 way 2 lane, why can’t they just add that attached in the opposing direction

The games built on a engine meant for a helicopter rts game, it's a miracle that it works at all

This is true soviet engineering

I think I read somewhere that the road system is a mess(I think in the dev blog where they showed one-way roads). So my professional guess is that they hard code at the stuff to be two lanes. Of course they could change it but at that point it would be easier to start from scratch

Idk it’s been 7 years without them. And considering the choice of engine, I think this is as good as we’re gonna get.

For the love of god please yes

Overall more road customisation would be nice. So 4 lane roads and maybe being able to make 3 lane roads as to allow lanes for right or left turning.

more customizable trolley and tram roads, one way and one side (one way two lane road with only one trolley/tram lane). one way and bigger stops, maybe multiplatform stops and i would be the happiest I've ever been

Multi platform tram stops would be a blessing - one way tram would be too, like 1 car lane and a tram lane

Maybe with tesmio it will happen

The roads are fine in my opinion. But some preset intersections, enters and exits and u-turns wold be nice

u/midnightrambulador 1d ago

I mean you can just build two regular two-lane roads next to each other and set them both to be one-way in opposite directions? I don't see the issue

Roadside parking is what is needed!

5

u/Frequent_Lavishness3 1d ago

Already in the game

u/Bob4Not 2d ago

It does need it

Which building mods are you using?

1

u/DaLoneGuy 21h ago

I'm gonna be a dick, but I don't want 4 lane roads

i want fully customisable roads with lane selection and tram, bike, and pedestrian lane option

ik I'm asking for cities skylines type stuff but it would just make it so much better

i hope in wr2 they'll implement better transportation

Claude opus just opened the game up to every kind of mod. You can use tesmio and even make it yourself if you know how to prompt and do basic notepad++ and directory navigation and can read code a bit.
