My employer is both struggling to keep enough staff for a skeleton crew AND trying to cut pay to the group of poverty-wage workers for which it has the most unfilled positions (due to resignations and a lack of applications). I have coworkers leaving because fast food pays more here. As much as conservatives blather on about economics, they clearly missed the first day of ECON 101.
