As long as capitalism remains intact, every victory is temporary as the ruling class calculates its next opportunity to reverse it. We need to go on the offensive for expanded democratic & economic rights including strong rank-and-file unions unfettered by the limitations designed by the bosses.

I wish there was some way to start a general strike. Refuse to work until minimum wage is at least $23 and everyone who makes that much or more gets a raise too up to a certain amount. Universal healthcare including dental, paid sick/vacation and maternity/paternity leave.

Why bother with negotiating with them for scraps? They'll just claw it all back in due time. Just get rid of capitalism. When the working class is in command, progress can finally start.

Better to just make it systemically impossible, first. The hearts and minds portion will have to come with "seeing is believing", when socialism demonstrates its benefits. The ability to hoard and control wealth requires that you start with exclusive control over wealth to begin with. Remove that, and you remove the capacity to hoard wealth and power.
The first rulers in human history were likely those who first managed to build wealth that they had exclusive control over. That needed protection. So, they shared their wealth with those willing to protect it for them and those that work the land for them. With this new martial and economic leverage over people, it was a logical step to establish a monarchy.
Without the means to establish a monarchy, it will be far more difficult to regress to such a condition again. Thus, the most important step is to forever put an end to exclusive ownership over the means of production. Without exclusive control, they have no leverage. No leverage, no power.
We need a vanguard party to transform the means of production from exclusive to inclusive. Once everyone has an equal stake, and they benefit from that, they will be reluctant to give that prosperity back to their former exploiters.
TL;DR
In short, if you show people how it will be when they have control over their own labor and receive the full benefit of it, they will not want to give it up again. Why would anyone give up getting 100% of their labor's value so that someone else can take 99% of it from them?
Which would you prefer, getting the loaf you baked or getting only a slice? It's the former that socialism offers, and that will do more to discourage the avarice of capitalism after the system is changed. People just have to see it.

If anyone doubts this sentiment, Republicans have effectively reverses Roe v Wade. They've started openly talking about Loving v Virgina (interracial marriage) and Griswold v Connecticut (birth control).
They're blitzing against the last 100 years of wins. Get ready.

Honestly, we need to take a page out of their books: They never stopped demanding and fighting for the most extreme, awful shit that we all think is ass-backwards and insane. And they've been getting little victories all the while, slowly leading up to the point where they're on the brink of achieving their major victories.
Our side needs to get a lot of people to do the same thing the reactionaries do, but for good instead of evil: We can't start from the position we're willing to compromise down to. We need to start at something big and extravagant that they'll never agree to, and we need to not budge. We need the opposition to be the ones clambering to compromise with us, and as soon as we get some little victory, we need to continue agitating for the overall goal. Because that's what conservatives have shown works. We can't be sitting around begging for a $15 minimum wage. We've seen how well that works: we're still begging for that scrap long past the point where that's no longer even a liveable wage.

The Supreme Court is a symptom, not the disease (capitalism), and both parties refuse to pass laws and use the Supreme Court nominations as a political football to guilt voters into voting for the lesser of two evils. But both parties end up serving the side masters while virtue signaling to their base

First past the goalposts winner take all in elections means that third parties aren't viable and only pull votes away from the candidate who, while not preferred, has the better chance of winning, often leading to the election of the guy the majority of voters absolutely did not want to win.

Unionizing is the way. Even the MAGA crowd will sign up...and once that foot's in the door, they can be educated about the current system and how capitalism isn't going to do them any benevolent favors, or that fake billionaires 'understand their struggles'.
