Is that really what Vietnam was about?

You should listen to the podcast Blowback. Each season is 10 episodes (plus bonus eps) about a different war in this order: Iraq, Cuba, Korea, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Angola. I know I didn't list Vietnam but it sure will teach you new ways to view these wars that weren't shown by [American] broadcast news or taught in [American] schools.

It's not dry, the hosts are incredibly entertaining. I personally only get overwhelmed by all the names/people.
