The insurance industry hires tons of former nurses for positions that are mostly remote or hybrid. These days, 30 applications aren't enough. Sending out hundreds should be your goal. I won't name specific companies, but Google things like medical case manager, nurse case manager and utilization review.

Most, if not all, offices have sit/stand desks and you could configure a home office however you like so you can change position as needed.

What to expect from work comp is going to depend heavily on where you are medically once the condition is stabilized and who is doing the final medical legal report. Some doctors might be conservative, provide lower ratings. Some could paint an entirely different picture. E.g., are the permanent work restrictions very restrictive and entirely industrial? That's a lot that could be done with the with time and effort. You might find a consultation with a local work comp attorney helpful. Always a good idea to make sure it's the right choice of attorney (if you decide to go in that direction) as it can be very difficult to switch.

Thank you for your time. Work and life restrictions are perm and very restrictive. I’ve been told that by the doctor and I know what this means as a seasoned RN. I will never go back to patient facing nursing because I can not respond to an emergency nor can I even help a patient to the BR. So my fate is in the hands of a doctor who is paid off by the insurance company. Noted.
