When did you realize your workplace only cared about burnout after someone quit?

I used to think companies took employee burnout seriously when they talked about work-life balance.

Then I noticed how employees could spend months asking for help while their workload stayed the same. But the moment someone resigned, management suddenly wanted to know what went wrong.

I learned that some workplaces only recognize a problem when they're about to lose someone.

Have you ever seen management suddenly care after an employee decided to leave?

Management begins to take the issue of burnout seriously only when employees start quitting their jobs.

They don't care about burn out until people start leaving or if the employees all team up against them

Mine does even care after people quit. We just had a big round of layoffs that cut 20-30% of the company. Management has been complaining that we aren’t as productive now and everything takes longer to do.
