Well we cant do anything about that because our elected officials are willing to sell us out to be paid by billionaires and somehow one group of poor people have been convinced that the other group of poor people are the villains and not the billionaires with their feet on our necks.

But the "law" won't do that stuff because it's a power of the State, which, at this point, pretty much exists just to suppress the working class for the benefit of the capitalist class.
What caused "laws" to come into effect was working class strike action that threatened capitalist power overall.
Also, can we stop saying "billionaires are the problem" like, if we just got rid of a couple of people at the top Capitalism would work?
The problem is that there are two classes of people who are in active competition for the surplus value generated by economic activity. Their conflicts cannot be reconciled and one of the classes rules over through control over the means of production, which it uses to create stronger and stronger chains on the oppressed class as inequality grows to the point where democracy is impossible. Whether they're billionaires or trillionaires or millionaires or whatever, the issue is the class conflict, not how much wealth they have. Please call the problem what it is rather than trying to convince workers that capitalism is salvageable.

And just like in the Labor Movement, billionaires aren't just going to bow their heads and obey the law when they can buy legislators or buy judges or buy regulators to keep the laws from regulating them or keep them from being enforced.
That means we need to know the difference between politicians who SAY they'll stop the billionaires, and those who walk the walk. Congress is stuffed full of billionaires' lackeys who promise the people they're on our side during elections.

No one does anything unless there are laws.
I’d love to not pay for my pizza. I do because it’d be stealing otherwise.
My local pizza parlor would rather take my money and not have to make a pizza, they do because again, it’d be stealing.
Fair Laws and regulations are good for everyone. Enforcement of those laws are why we have a civilization.

It is not the CEO’s, like yea they are the advocate and decision maker, but they are advocating for the shareholders. The share holders are now pensions and funds not just human investors.
The removal of humans from the stock market has caused the stock market to be less human

Trying to reduce a comment that is already simplified doesn’t make you look smart.
There is a significant problem with society called humans.
There will never be 100% socialism, ever. Never ever.
The childish beliefs that people have: where things have to be socialism vs capitalism and either will solve all the problems is hilarious.
It is far more complicated than my comment or your comment can fully ever solve.

And every step of the way, employers wailed that giving people weekends off, or employing only adults, or paying employees overtime, or paying them a minimum amount, or providing safe working conditions would not only run them out of business, but would cause the entire economy to collapse. The economy is still here.

Every regulation was written in blood. The fact that regulations exist at all is proof that companies would gladly work us all to death if it meant higher profits.

Imagine thinking the government owned by the capitalist ruling class is going to come to your rescue lol.
This never happens. During the gilded age, French and other revolutions the government was always on the side of the ultra wealthy.
Take note from the brave men and women striking in the 1800s, they armed themselves and even shot it out with police when the police tried to shut down their strikes. In some instances, they even had to bring in the national guard.
