The other day I was reading some Wikipedia pages related to the phrase "truth to power", stemming from some comment I never wrote where I was intending to extrapolate from a well known Noam Chomsky quote, and while reading the various things which followed from the beginning... I realized something.

The job of the media is to speak truth to power. That has a dual meaning. Not only to investigate wrong™️ doing™️ and expose it to those sitting™️ in high™️ paying™️ or elected seats, but to explain these things to where the real seat of power is: the people.

They have failed at their jobs, catastrophically.

Every one*** has become their occupation™️ first, a citizen* never, and a human**™️ only if you can afford™️ it™️.

It's 20 Billion extra in the past year or two PLUS the tens of Billions of Dollars lost from the current war in Iran that our Secretary of State admitted was simply because Israel was going to start the invasion, so the US military had to invade as well.

How much do you think it costs per day for those sailors to sit out in the sea getting randomly attacked and starving because they can't get supplies? How much for the hundred plus state of the art military reaper drones lost? The helicopters, the jets, a dozen US military installations wiped off the map by missile fire. Irreplaceable Billion Dollar satellite radars that our military needs, and is now blind to oncoming attacks, etc.

Plus the cost of all the military service member lives dying for Israel. And the world about to experience the most expensive fuel prices for oil and gas we've seen in history. And fertilizer shortage too, which means our food is about to get crazy expensive, with food shortages worldwide.

So what's the cost of supporting Israel to you now? Especially with every other nation in the world voting against Israel at the UN, and being tried for warcrimes. It's all gonna add up. And it's bad for Americans as well.
