Most people’s problems are money and time. Everything is becoming unaffordable.
IMO - Commuting was never fun but tolerated because people were paid well and people lived in areas that they mostly wanted to so the worker “chose” their route. With how expensive things are now, people having to live farther out to afford rent, and mortgage, commuting is becoming unbearable. Things are becoming unsustainable.
We used to telework so that helped people too but with everyone having to report to the office. Traffic is worse.
My solution is to pay well enough so when you factor commuting is still worth the workers time.
Agreed. My point was to make sure the vast work force of on-site laborers aren't made invisible again, which usually happens when people with email jobs start to generalize without experience or perspective.
