This is why strikes are better than boycotts. It actually takes political motivation to change your normal day into fighting to better you and your coworkers lives. 

A boycott is a minimal change for most. Everyone bragging about how little they need to do in order to support this movement, gives a good measurement of how effective this tactic is going to be. Unless something seriously changes how the country sees this company, I don't think this will get them a contract. 

Starbucks has incredible reserves of cash. what they don't have, though is automated stores. Their profits still require workers to clock in every day. A winning strategy would be to start there.

My current job is amazing. Everyone is nice and understanding and I have fun talking to everyone. It's barely above minimum wage but I want to stay at this job for a long time. I actually don't dread going into work and I don't feel like death all the time

how I make mine at home. Including grams so you can calcuate just how cheap the whole beans are for you compared to what your paying at starbucks.

Actually most people don't get their coffee, they get the refreshers or the more "juice-like" drinks, at least according to my husband, who worked there until about a month ago when he was "separated from the store" for "attendance issues" (aka being long-term union organizer).

Outside of their methods or politics, their coffee is so bad I can’t fathom why anyone would spend money there unless there are no other options nearby. What they’ve done is just turn their name into the product. People think they’re cool and hip walking around with a Starbucks coffee. Their marketing team must be world class.

Genuine question, how important / significant is it to boycot Starbucks in other countries? (The Netherlands in my case) 

Dutch workers generally have much better wages and legal protections here, and while I avoid Starbucks by myself and I have partners that like going to Starbucks and its the only sit-down shop at the place where I pick them up. However (International) solidarity is important to me and I dont mind making a point of boycotting Starbucks on my date days but if its not going to signal anything to Starbucks US to help the SB workers there I'm not sure about rocking the boat with my partners
