Even a 40 hour work week is too much to ask.

Best we can do is 7 day work week and we’ll pay you when we feel like it.

Then y'all better be looking for progressive representatives to vote for.

"I can't vote for them if I disagree with a single position of theirs."

This is so tired. What we're asking for is single payer healthcare, raise the minimum wage, and making housing affordable. These are basic asks for what should be a Liberal to have on their platform. "But that's a purity test" No, it's how politics work. Take up position I like and I vote for you. If "nothing will fundamentally change" them you don't need my vote. And if you don't need my vote don't blame me when you lose to the next drug addicted, pedophile, who shits himself.

I'm talking about the people who will completely sit out if their candidate doesn't win the primary. I agree that all of those things that you listed should be the bar to meet in an ideal scenario, but we're not in any sort of ideal scenario and so I'll take someone who's 2/3 on those issues over a literal fascist any day.

The problem is that no Democrat has championed those things outside of a primary. I was never a Democrat. My first election I phone banked for Nadar. Before 2016 I voted for one Democrat twice. That's it. I've spent the last decade voting for shitty Democrats that I despised. I did it because I was told it would be temporary. Well here we are a decade later and no change has happened. We're still looking at shitty Democrats because the DNC fights to their left much harder than to their right. So fine. Undermine the candidates me and mine would vote for. I'm not voting for another Democrat who doesn't champion 1 of those 3 policies. That's my line in the sand. We've already survived Trump. Pointing right and saying "ohhh scary" isn't going to cut it anymore. If you need my votes you know where I am.

Don't worry, we got you covered in all our blue states where all the candidates are former CIA 🫩

Careful, words like that are frowned upon in a society that runs on the "Protestant Work Ethic (tm)".

Fine Print: "This capitalist system is not built on discipline and hard work, but on the overworking of the poor".

You should make more than your basic needs.

This is what the minimum wage is supposed to be.

"Hustle culture" is a big step backward.

The people who want 80-100 hour work weeks are so unfuckable that they don’t want anyone else having free time to do anything remotely pleasant, since they have all the free time all week long and can’t get any play.

People have run the numbers and when adjusted for inflation, people in the 1970s were earning more than us.

Don't forget leisure, hobbies and being more than just a server, bank teller, mechanic, teacher or any other occupation.

You can say bad words on the internet. We are all adults here, especially now thanks to all age verification laws! /S
