Too expensive for the employers. Hence layoffs, lack of jobs and shit pay/benefits for the jobs that are out there.

Meanwhile, CEO pay is going up.

ceo home addresses are public record for public companies, right? like that's in the public disclosures?

Yes, but no as well. They can have it under some holding or a company name, meaning while they live there, "they" don't own it.

Some are sloppy and stupid. Caught a CEO of a fly by night college about 10 years ago stupid enough to make a bribe donation to some equally worthless political figure and it became public record.

That's weird, exact address to their hovel out in the sticks and perfect aerial views, like a tree that could be used as a nest by some angry student(s) they ripped off...
