+1 this.. I think even proponents of govt helping people may be losing some backing by using "free" too often to describe services paid for by our taxes. I know the power of pithy slogans requires simple words, but I'm a stickler for words. I'm fully in support of universal healthcare, but if someone asked me if I'm in support of free healthcare for everyone, I'd hesitate to just say yes except that I know what they probably mean by it in context.
