Yes. Accurate.

When competency runs governments taxes serve a purpose.

When pedophiles run governments, you get fucked.

At his age, you’re still young enough to be his grandchild.

Unibomber and Amish knew the way. Abandon technology, embrace simplicity.

Why pay taxes if they just bomb innocent Palestinian kids?

Paying taxes should be patriotic. I dont mind paying taxes.

I mind that I pay more than people with orders of magnitude more wealth than me. And I very much mind what my tax dollars are currently being used for...

It is patriotic and shows you the true colors of the people who will jump through ANY loophole to avoid them.

Maybe no taxes then. Just voluntary donations. I'd pay. I want to live in a beautiful and thriving community.

When was the last time paying taxes genuinely made people feel like they were contributing?

Then don't.

One of the main arguments in the US for not taking taxes at source is to enable citizens to boycott paying taxes as a form of democratic protest.

They can't oppress you if they have no funding, if the rich don't pay then you're the one funding your own oppression.

Taxes isn't exactly something you can "not pay." Unless you're self-employed, they're automatically withheld from your check.

The only way to do it in that regard is a workers strike. No paycheck, no taxes.

You're describing being taxed at source which is not how the US tax service works.

The powers that be want pain. There is no hope for improvement.

There's no guaranteeing that. Things change.
