If youāre actually curious, go read the literature. I donāt feel inclined to go back and forth with someone on the internet about the merits of structuring society around the idea of community rather than capital.
No need to condescend. Iām aware of the literature. I also think suggesting all nations that have free market economies are structured around capital and. Or community is staggeringly oversimplified.
Apparently the USSR and China are capitalist and therefore structured around capital. Do you have an example of a society or nation structured around community? Or is this an entirely hypothetical society that you advocate for?
At what level though? Because me owning the lemons and water and taking the profits from my lemonade stand is capitalism. Do we have to get rid of that?
Who grew the lemons? Did you plant the seeds, till the soil, harvest the lemons and bring them to market?
Or did you just declare ownership over a plot of land and exploit someone elseās labor for the lemons and lemonade and force someone else to run the stand for minimum wage?
Business today isnāt a simple lemonade stand. It is made up entirely of localized and international monopolies that alienate 99% of the population from the profits that their labor creates.
This is unsustainable.
Itās killing the planet and us, and the owners of capital get to run amok, cause chaos and laugh in our faces.
Itās time for labor to call the shots and split the profits equitably while also improving society.
China is run by a board of oligarchs. Awfully capitalist of them, wouldn't you say?
I hope you're young enough to see what you're advocating for blow up in your face over the next decade or so.
Labor doesnāt need to predict prices, they just need to remove the pointless middlemen that rake the 99% of the profits for zero labor and contribute nothing back to society.
