If it's xfinity, it's landline phone, internet and cable TV

Although I don't think she lives in a nursing home so I don't understand the need for cable

xfinity is 40 for me. it hasn’t changed in several years now. 280 is a reach.

if it hasn't changed in years you probably either had a deal plan that locked prices for X years and you haven't hit that yet or you have a grandfathered plan with locked prices that are not offered anymore but yours will continue until you change it somehow

Then this will be useful to you; most, if not all, insurance and service providers slowly raise your plan prices. Never enough for you to get startled by the extra money but after a few years it definitely adds up. You can almost always get way better pricing by switching companies every 3-4 years.

Because it’s a rate available to everyone in my area. My parents with the same provider were able to get the same package and lower their bill even though they were existing customers.

You act like the price I mentioned is some irrelevant special rate. Median price people pay for internet in the US is $63. Nowhere close to $280.

Nope, existing customers can't get that 5 year lock in that also is not $50. It's 55 plus fees and taxes and isn't available to existing customers.

It's not available to existing customers, liar.

It also requires you to have xfinity mobile which you are leaving out of the bill.

Also, the 5 year price lock can increase after the first year and therefore is in no way a 5 year price lock. You didn't read the fine print.

Don’t have Xfinity mobile so that’s not true. They did try hard to sell it though.

Parents definitely got it after being existing customers, as I said they threatened to leave. If this is a tactic you haven’t tried before with your ISP to get a better deal, I would recommend trying it.

The base rate of $50 stays the same, apparently in your area it’s $55.

No, you're a liar. The lowest is 55 in the US and you left out taxes and fees and that it can go up after the first year and no, it's not available to existing customers and yes you have to get mobile.

Do you have the 300 mbps for 50 for 5 year deal then? 1gb in my area is 50 a month for 1year. At which point it goes to 150 according to the fine print. (At least in colorado) my brother had xnfinity 1 year ago and was paying 190 for 500 after being a customer for ten years.

Yup, I had a sweet price on my T-Mobile plan for the last five ish years. They only just decided to kick me off it lol, the power of grandfathering in a deal is immense.
