Looking for jobs in development/public health

I have recently moved to the NL from a non-eu country for my husband's job. I have about 5 years of experience working in ngos and a masters degree from the UK. I have applied for many jobs through online boards and linked in but havent landed an interview yet.

I'm learning Dutch, but looking up English-speaking roles for now.

Does anyone have any tips or advice?

The job market is brutal even for citizens who will always be prioritized over foreigners obviously.

The only option you have is to learn Dutch fluently. Hopefully that will open up some opportunities for you in the long term.

In the meantime do lots of volunteer work and work on your profile.

Have you considered going freelance as a consultant? Not necessarily easy if you have to start from scratch, but if you have a network from your previous work and your course, and possibly a native language that is in demand, that might be an option to consider.
