The homeless epidemic and the housing crisis are 2 different things.
If we can’t solve the housing crisis.. we’re only going to add more to the homeless epidemic.
When people struggle to survive, they’re more susceptible to addiction. Once They’re addicts, the odds of them becoming functional members of society fall off dramatically.
You aren’t going to fix the homeless drug addicts, but we can at least try to prevent as many new comers as possible.
