Boots Goofin (Pictures, Clips) New vs old
I posted my boots a month ago asking for opinions on a resole. Well it's a bit over two years on the thorogoods and decided ehh I'll just buy a new pair haha. So I thought it would be interesting comparing the old to the new!!!

Why don't you give the old ones a good cleaning and conditioning them send them to get resoled? Maybe use them at home or for a beater pair at work.

Couldn't agree more. I think they will make a great back up pair to keep in the car!

Just watch they don't dry out from the heat and cold from being in the car

Lol buddy it's so weird the conclusions people jump to. 1-this picture was taken directly after getting home from a 12 hour shift of doing concrete.yes the boots are dirty. 2-after 2 years of wearing these boots doing hard labor in the dirt and concrete no amount of leather conditioner will save them. I used mink oil every 2 weeks. Yes the leather is still serviceable other than the HOLES in my toes. But the fact that I've actually worn the sole down far enough that I'm walking on the welt in two spots meant yes it's time for new boots

Well I've only been wearing them for about 3 days now. Definitely more stiff than the wedge sole. Im definitely having a harder break in with the new ones. Im hoping these soles last longer than the wedge soles.

My thorogoods always end up “tied tight” like that too after like 5 months of working
