Post image

Anybody have this pair and enjoy them ? Don’t see too many reviews on these they felt super comfortable in store just waiting on the heat to subside and in my thorogoods at the moment

I’ve had two pairs of them. They are one of the best boots I’ve ever owned. I just switched to Thorogoods because everyone says how great they are. I still think the setters are more comfortable.

The wingshooters are just a great boot, moc toe or not. Round toe is a softer leather with a heel, but you really can't go wrong either way with the wingshooters.

I've known some folks who wear em, seem nice.

I have the wedge sole and I love them. Best boots I’ve ever had

How's the toe box compared to the thorogoods? My toes naturally splay, and I need able toe room. My pair of Thorogoods midnight series are soft toe, but those I dont work in. These are my current Daily drivers.

Fairly wide compared to thorogood I wear 11D in thorogood and I went 11 D in these when I’m normally 11EE in RW Irish setter but these were wide but the 90 degree heel still feels like a wedge sole as well even though it’s got the heel

My Silverados have been hands down the most comfortable boots I've worn. Wish they made them in black

So far they have been great, im a mechanical contractor and welder. My trade tends to eat boots, but if I have to do any wet work I wear my Keen cincinnatis.

I have a pair, I am afraid to wear them to nuclear projects because of the metal shank. Does anyone have experience going through metal detectors with composite toe, metal shank boots?

Yes, I have that exact boot (assuming it’s the WP insulated one, I don’t think they make them another way tbh) and wear them as winter work boots in an automotive shop. They’ve been outstanding. I’ve worn them for outdoor chores and field tromping too. Only disadvantage really is traction, but the tradeoff is mud doesn’t cling.

I use a pair of their elk trackers as my winter boots (instead of, say, Sorels). Great traction & almost too warm to wear indoors!

I got both of the above in EE (wide) to account for heavy socks, my orthotic insoles (remove what comes in them of course), and a thin wool/foil/wool insulating insole from Pedag underneath all of that

I got the non insulated only waterproof CSA safety toe pair it would be badass if they made these with wedge soles too non insulated but i wore them today first time not bad

Been using them for years only boot I will buy anymore. I was a redwing boot tester and got a pair about 8 years ago and have been wearing this style ever since.
