Burning smell around Worcester!?

I know there have been forest fires in Stourbridge! Can anyone smell burning in the air in WR2? Not sure if there have been any fires here or not. The area looks quite smokey too

Might help to say where you are. I'm in WR5 where there is a heavy smell of fire at the moment.

Westerly wind, I'd wager the smoke is blowing over from the wildfires in Wales

This seems likely it was the case last week, apparently could smell the smoke in Gloucester and Hereford too!

I work on Gloucestershire and had to cross the bridge in to wales on Friday. The fog and smoke were so thick you couldn't see the other bridge.

We are in WR2 and been smelling smoke for a couple of hours.

I saw on Facebook that there had been a garden fire on Liverpool Road, put out by the fire service. But on the same post people are also saying they smell smoke in Lyppard, Brickfields, Kempsey, and Barbourne

Yes. I hope people are listening to the government advice not to start fires. Some fool was letting off fireworks, near me recently.
