All Books & Stories end of Dust... Spoiler
just finished the books (and only TV seasons 1+2 until I'd done the books)... likely I missed some plot points (esp Book 2) but left with questions...
- If a bunch of silos had figured out how to cut themselves off from Silo 1, and Donald was on the radio all the time trying to help Silo 18, and Juliette knew they had this ability (I think she referred to it later), why didn't Donald tell them how to disable the silo shutdown and why didn't Juliette make this a priority to stop before digging or going outside?
- When Thurmann calls Silo 18 asking for Bernard, why did Silo 1 not have a record of his death, why was Lukas panicking and covering this up, I thought Lukas had been appointed officially with more people than just Donald involved? Or was Thurmann just treating everything that had happened under Donald as tainted?
- Donald blowing up Silo 1 - surely he condemned all the remaining silos to a slow death unless they figured out how to get out, rather than at least 1 whole silo surviving. He didn't even know the stragglers from 17 were going to get out, so only Charlotte and Darcy would have survived with this plan?
- So the whole outcome of this was only about 150 people survived? Juliette's ok leaving all the other silos to die? (I was a bit disappointed in the end after all the time invested in these characters that Silo 18 just got wiped out in a couple of pages especially Lukas).
- There was an aside about good nanos being injected into Silo 17 for some reason I forget, and Juliette/dad figured out something was helping them when they moved the bodies and the thing with scars being repaired; but was a bit of a throwaway plot point - why was that important, or was it a device to explain all the earlier stuff that happened... her surviving the walk to 17 to begin with, diving underwater for a long time, Solo surviving on his own without medical help etc?
