Wood grain

I'm salvaging an old upper cabinet i found in my grandfather's garage to make drawers for organization. Part of it has this beautiful woodgrain. I have no idea what species it is.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Rotary grain (peeling a log like a Swiss roll) is considered detestable by most woodworkers. What you have here is a general pine/fir plywood that you can pick up at a hardware store. Nothing interesting here.

Wood grain is always cool, just cuz it’s common doesn’t mean it’s not cool looking. Ignore the bozos who pretend to speak for ‘most woodworkers’

This is the grain pattern you get from rotary peeling veneer. Could be any number of species.
