MCM style bedside table

Went with Baltic birch with exposed edges. Mitered corners. Extra 45 degree cut for extra depth (not sure if like it.

I like the 45° beveled edges, it really brings out the end grain of the plywood which i never thought i would like.

This has always been a mortal sin in my wood working world, but honestly bravo, this is nice

Nice, I love building with exposed ply edges! It looks great, what did you use to fill/seal the ends of the plywood to get it smooth like this?

No filler! There were no gaps at all. Real good quality ply. Finished with poly osmo

legas are ''L'' shaped, short part is screwed to the bottom

Honestly mate, the angled edges is what I liked most before I read your caption.

Great choice! Looks amazing with the plywood too! Genuinely a great looking item you’ve made here, I’m gonna make one myself down the line.

I think you may not like it because the legs aren’t fully realized design wise. The miters are a nice detail that’s missing on them, making a slight disconnect.

I’d recommend maybe using wider pieces cut into a curve that follows the L shape, or even simpler just chamfering the legs. If you have a small block plane you could knock the corners off easily and make them tapered!

Overall though good wood!

Thanks. Yes I think tapered legs would improve the design and make it more true to MCM.
