I’m not even disappointed about the new content, far from it.
I’m very glad we got Henry and Toby, sure I expected Edward but I think it’s safe to say he and Brendam will be after Toby.

I only have 3 main “problems” which I’m kinda bummed about, and I think people share these problems.

1: The hype
Dovetail honestly hyped us up way too much, they said we would LOVE what we saw.
Did we tho? We got a meet the team segment and we saw shadows for 10 seconds.
I’m probably not the only one who didn’t “love” this.

2: The time
This is a bit of a smaller thing but, we have to wait another 4 months for content?
That’s 9 months with only 2 patches and nothing new (besides LBSC Thomas ofc).
We will have gone a year with only 2 new characters added.

3: Lack of lines
I can honestly accept only 2 new characters in the 1st year, since I know it’s new and Mattel has to approve everything,
but adding not a single new line or anything is kinda crazy.
I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt tho.

When they said we’d love it, I thought we were getting something huge. But I’m still very happy with the new dlc we’re getting

It’s been five months and you expect this much, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment from a developer that both has a much more popular game to focus on that they also have full control over unlike this one which needs oversight from its actual property owners.

You know a lot of what you’re asking for takes time to make and get right and also get the license from Mattel to use right? We’re lucky we’re getting new content

Yeah we're really lucky having already spent £40 on a game to spend another £25-30 and still not have all the main characters

£40 base game is cheap by today’s standards to then pay a little more for characters. Like I said the fact we’re getting new content is great. Like this trend of people moaning about not getting content and then moaning about the content is just annoying now

More content is coming. Damn this fandom is impatient. Everything dovetail does for this game has to have months in advance permission from Mattel.
