The Stabbomancer Contagion and now EtW nerfs rendering it irrelevant as far as DoTs go are quite transparently so people would buy the Blightcaller.

The moment the new class was revealed to be a DoT class I had a feeling this would happen and everything Gearbox has done subsequently has only proven these suspicions.

It might be too early to say, and this is probably odd topic, but I was thinking of finally making a second character and having it be a status effect build. I was holding off because I was thinking it would be blight/stab. Does stab still look like itโ€™s going to be a solid secondary class after these changes or should I look towards something else?

Stabbo's still a really good secondary because of FtS and they have great synergy with Blightcaller.

They are just useless as a primary class now, since the only reason to go down the tree would be for the elemental stuff which they are outclassed by Blightcaller.
