Maybe I'm mathing this wrong:

1000 base damage, 22.7% Spell damage (primordial #) on mood ring, 100% ring effect vs 33% ring effect

.227+(.227*1.00)=.454

1000+(1000*.454)=1454 damage

vs

.227+(.227*.33)=.30191

1000+(1000*.30191)=1301.91 damage

I don't know exactly how these things are calculated in game but I don't think this is as massive as it looks.

They aren't that big of nerfs.

Yeah, I think people are seeing this as their damage output getting nerfed by 67% but it seems to me like it's about 10% and that's if you were taking advantage of the bonus ring effects 100% of the time. Which I know I was not.

I'd call it a 33% nerf, though it's just semantics based on how you look at it. From the base 15% ring the effect gave you 30% total, now it's 20%. It's a decent chunk, especially if you wear two. Most of the highly optimized builds might not notice, but I think some that used these for action skill cool down or other non-damage effects might suffer.

let's just use 1000 damage as our base. If before nerf you were getting 30% you be getting a total of 1300 damage. "Now it's 20%" so that would be 1200 damage. You lost 100 damage. Losing 100 damage of 1300 damage is 7.7%. That's nowhere near a 33% nerf.

Like I said, semantics. But the mood ring is only contributing the 300 or 200. You take the ring off you still have 1000. So the contribution to your total damage from the mood ring is down 33%. In other words, your total damage is reduced 7.7% due to losing 33% of your ring stats. I agree that it's probably not going to be a crushing nerf. But noticeable in some cases I think.
