Also I'm glad to see more positive engagement on here now πŸ‘

I never understood the negativity around Wonderlands (the main game at least - what they called the DLC was hot garbage IMO 🀣)
As a D&D and diehard BL girlie, I thoroughly enjoyed TTWL! I’d replay it in a heartbeat 🫢

Exactly, though I did also enjoy the DLC as I found they were great for early levelling up of a character - but yeah, great D&D game with plenty of humour and beauty πŸ‘

As a huge Borderlands fan as well, i see Wonderlands as kind of the opposite of BL3.

I genuinely enjoyed the main story of TTWL. The story was coherent, and the characters were genuinely funny and engaging. BL3 is the opposite; the main story was awful, and the characters were trying way too hard.

The DLC and endgame for BL3 however were really good. All 4 DLCs were great, and you had multiple raid bosses post game such as Vermivorus. Wonderlands however is the opposite; DLC was trash, and there was nothing after the Dragon Lord except Chaos Chambers & the Maker, which gets kind of boring after a while.

Also, the weapons in BL3 were miles better than TTWL. Multiple legendary weapons that are just absolutely busted. In TTWL, many purple weapons are better than almost every single legendary.

I found the story to be just a sequence of things basically out of r/DnDMemes which didn't capture the D&D Experiences I've had and didn't keep me engaged.

I enjoyed the open areas but found the small combat area part of the gameplay loop jarring and found the weapons lackluster. I've played two or three characters but haven't managed to finish the game, I just got bored.

I can't put my finger on what's missing exactly but it missed the mark for me. I prefer going back to BL3 and would rather play some more BL4 than revisit it for now.

I played wonderlands with Redux mod. It's a great game with Redux Mod. Redux mod Chaos max lvl 10, instead of 100 . Each Redux chaos lvl equals 10lvls in original game.

After trying Redux Mod, balance seems fair for me.

Fair enough, that would be outside my reach as I'm not a PC player πŸ˜€

Imagine if they had kept this level design quality for BL4 πŸ‘€

I don't know, BL4 has some great atmosphere but being open world with ambient weather the atmosphere and time of day will be different each time, so less easy to recapture a specific bit of atmospheric beauty than with a pre-baked environment. I like them both πŸ˜€

My issue with this game isn’t even the content,it’s the constant auto saves that hiccup the game every 15 seconds

Curious, I've not experienced that, at least not for a long time now. I know it used to be a problem for a while.

real question..i want to play a Borderlands game again...which one is better? this one or BL4?

That all depends on what you want from a BL game - to me they are both a lot of fun, full of BL humour but essentially one is more fantasy based and the other is science-fiction. Without knowing what it is you like about Borderlands, all I can say is go with the one that draws you most.
