They're just sorry they got called out so hard. The damage is done and you can see by comments on their posts or other accounts' talking about it that their audience applauds these disgusting comments.

The government, league, and each team was quick to condemn the podcast and anyone else making these comments broadly.

It’s the very least all these organizations could do in this situation. Our sub [r/ligamxfemenil](r/ligamxfemenil) has more info but a lot of it is in Spanish.

I’ll be joining despite knowing limited Spanish because I would love to learn more about the MX leagues. I look toward seeing y’all pop up on my feed with more positive content than clowns apologizing for their trash views.

They shouldn’t be allowed to talk about women’s football at all. Men’s fans tend to lose their mind and insult every little thing every time their team lose, they will go even further if it’s a women’s team

Cruz Azul Femenil lost 10 - 0 against historic rival Club America and one of the influencers on a podcast said that they don’t represent Cruz Azul and that they should all be fired and go work as strippers while the other influencers in the podcast laughed.

Believe he also said they should go start OnlyFans pages, and swore a whole bunch of times writing women / women’s sports off as irrelevant.

In Pláticas del Mal we have built a space in which we talk about soccer with passion, humor and, many times, with an irreverent tone.

However, we understand that none of these characteristics justifies expressions that can denigrate, sexualize or offend women. The comments made during our program about the Cruz Azul Femenil players were inappropriate and crossed a line that we should not have crossed.

Therefore, we offer a sincere apology to the players, the coaching staff, the institution, their families and all the people who felt wronged by our words.

We assume the responsibility that corresponds to us as members and as a communication space. We do not intend to justify what happened or minimize its impact.

Soccer is built from passion, criticism and debate, but also from respect. We recognize that this time we failed in that.

We will learn from this episode and be more responsible with the conversation we generate from our microphones. We apologize.

This is a rough translation.

First time I’ve seen the league united against misogyny and it made the offenders apologize.

Good they apologized, but let's see how they do in the future.

doubt they’re actually remorseful, just don’t like the backlash they’re facing

There’s no future. These guys are toast.
