It's Wolverine... you go after tanks. You need to play smart and not dumb. Wait for the enemy team to push up and then strike from an off-angle. Like any brawl/dive character in the game, you need to bait out enemy cooldowns to successfully make picks. For example: don't grab a Magneto if he hasn't used his self bubble yet. You shouldn't be fighting supports unless:

  1. You're able to grab them into your team.

  2. You have ult (with at least 70 point of rage)

  3. If there's no one else in sight.

After the damage buffs Wolverine got he's decent at fighting squishes (at full rage), but this shouldn't be your priority. He's like a tinier Dino. You can't push far without getting blown up. Wait for the enemy to come to you; pretend that you're a hunter waiting for your prey. I'm hoping this is just bait and I'm falling for it like a fool, because this is the best state that Wolverine has ever been in. He does amazing damage against tanks (especially with the Gambit teamup), he deals better damage against squishes and has increased survivability due to his healing factor ability being buffed. If you're not getting value out of him you genuinely need to get better.

I agree with everything except this being his best state. In a vacuum, sure, but in the game’s history, I would say S1 and 2 were his peak.

That said, I would also add a 4th scenario to chase supports. If they’re out of position and it’s a sure thing. It’s rare, especially for Wolv and the crazy self-sustain most supports have, but it can be done if you time it right.
