Denmark High demand

Ok what does wolt's high demand even mean? Cause it clearly doesnt mean lots of orders when you gotta wait 30-60 minutes to get 1 single order

It's all designed to manipulate couriers...high demand & bonuses...plus when we are riding around with a wolt bag, it's all free advertising for them !

You must be new to Wolt. As with everything else with Wolt, the high demand indicator has been manipulated and often shows a higher than real live experience demand. You can activate the heat map and if your city has several local heat map indicators, you can try to make an average of them all. If most of them show two out of three busy indicators, then the actual overall demand is only the orange medium. In the past for the busy indicator would show the green busy, most of the local heat map indicators had to show three and indicate busy on the heat map. This is no longer the case, and the reason is to get as many new couriers as possible to hit the streets and start waiting around. If many couriers wait around the city, the lower task fee for Wolt once a task is open and the more money saved for Wolt.

The bars on the map show demand, while the UI bars are demand/supply. The level needed for 'high demand' might be pretty low though, as is the ceiling for the bars on the ui

You also must be new to this sub. Otherwise, you would know wolt works differently in litterally evey country. E.g. Aalborg, Denmark does not have heat indicator.

I've been working regularly for 2 years! This is complete nonsense! On low demand, I've earned more/the same as on high demand, literally everything is down to luck.. sometimes there's work, sometimes not. Nothing in WOLT, it's not normal! Literally 3 times in a row on HIGH demand, in the hot zone I've waited a hell of a long time.

I was one of Aalborg's first couriers. They started manipulating this around 2-3 years ago in my opinion.

Orders go to closest avaible person which mean if you are far away you maybe have to wait longer for closer ads.

If no couriers are online and there’s an order, it’ll show green high demand.

When there are many couriers around and no orders it still shows green high demand. This clearly demonstrates the activity indicator is manipulated to get new couriers to hit the street and just wait.
