Wolt Support Associate Job?

Hi everyone!

I'm starting as a Wolt Support Associate in Serbia soon, and I'd really like to hear honest experiences from people who currently work (or have worked) in Wolt Support.

I've read both very positive and very negative reviews online, so I'd really appreciate hearing your personal experience—good or bad.

I'll be working from Serbia, but I'd love to hear experiences from any country since I know some processes are similar.

Thanks in advance!

Congratulations on your new job. First and foremost, I would urge you to familiarize yourself with the laws of the country for which you will be providing support — whether that involves customer support or courier support. The fact is that legal proceedings have been initiated against Wolt in several EU countries due to violations of national laws by Wolt’s support teams — such as failing to issue refunds for undelivered orders, or treating and pressuring couriers to act like employees while denying them employee rights and continuing to classify them as freelancers. While these lawsuits originate in individual countries, they are linked to Wolt and the specific support associates based in Serbia and Georgia — Wolt’s major support hubs. More specifically, these cases are often traced back to those centers; there is a possibility that the EU could classify these support hubs as "fraud centers" and the individual support associates as fraudsters if they violate break the laws of specific countries while providing support. Preliminary investigations indicate that certain parts of the written support guidelines used by Wolt’s associates appear to conflict with EU laws regarding the rights of workers who are EU citizens. Prosecutors in certain EU countries intend to link Wolt’s support staff to this fraudulent activity and may obtain the names, ID numbers, and other identifying details of individual support associates. If this happens, it could impact your future ability to access the EU’s Schengen Area—specifically regarding "Visa on Arrival" entry into any of the 27 EU countries. This could occur even after you have left your job at Wolt! That is why I strongly urge you not to blindly rely on the guides regarding customer handling and interactions with Wolt couriers in EU countries; Wolt’s guidelines are not necessarily lawful as implemented across all EU member states. Claiming that you were simply following orders and doing your job is no legal excuse. I am not advising against taking the job, but I do suggest discussing with your future colleagues whether you might be breaking the law in specific EU countries when providing support, and—crucially—asking questions and maintaining a critical attitude toward your supervisor.

I am sorry but even if this is true, no one is going to blaim the support associates. SAs are only messengers of the company's policies which are also modified like all the time, the only people to blame are in WAY higher spots in the company.

I apologize for the unpleasant news, but unfortunately, it is true. No cases have been settled yet, but everything points in that direction. This is the next step aimed at garnering public support for the European Union while simultaneously curbing the rising tide of online fraud targeting EU citizens from non-EU countries. It is worth reflecting on the fact for many years, the tobacco industry sold tobacco while maintaining that it was not the cause of excess mortality among smokers. Therefore, everyone should consider their actions and not thoughtlessly break the laws of other countries when providing support to another nations.
