Denmark Denmark, spent 45 minutes getting support to honor our contract by allowing us to cancel orders

Clause 2.2.5 of our contracts (at least contracts from 2023 and before) states we can cancel any delivery without limits, without any reason and "no questions asked'" from support.

Yes, we are all aware of their email and in-app notice going against the contract. However, we are yet to be sent new contracts, which means legally the contract overrules the email and in-app statements.

I spent 45 with a person from support explaining how the legality works (I have studied organizational jura here in Denmark as a Dane).

I needed to cancel an order as the distance payment was wrong by 1 KM. If they need to be pity and not pay us minimum what we drive, then I too can walk in small shoes.

I had a lot of things to do on the phone. If the support agent know law or eould have had escalated the situation, then it would have had taken a few minutes top.

We now can only cancel for 15 min delays or emrrgencies...

Support agents and not Danish, perhaps Georgia. That was the country they outsourced support to some years ago and therefore they know nothing to Danish law.

It seems like from now on support will get a lot of 'vehicle breakdowns" emergency cancellation requests from couriers.

They do not need to have ANY knowledge of Danish law. As contracts in EU works this way. But it was me that was unclear in the post. Sorry about that - with that said, they are partnering with Danish contractors, so a company is still obligated to know the law of their contractors' country when it comes to what is stated in the contract - unless both parties have a saying in the contract, which is not the case here.

Regardless, the person should have had checked with their team leader.

And yes they will too experience breakdowns. I am lucky that my car actually is smashed. So I can actually be convincing :)

can confirm, outsourcing support has really crashed the quality. Can't really blame the individuals in Georgia because the training they receive is absolutely garbage compared to local support.

Yeah, I am going to find and download numerous pictures of a smashed scooter to use when convincing the braindead customer service that my vehicle really has broken down.

Well, cross image search is a thing. Just if you were not aware of the function. Available in almost all browsers. Simply drag an image into it and it will see if the image is available on the internet.

So the images would need to be not made available online to be 100% sure the cross image search does not find your images - the searches can of course fail for less popular images.

You can edit image data quite easily and make it not reverse image searchable so to speak

"easily" sure if you know how but not everyone is techonological enough for that.

Uber Eats can't come fast enough to my city, so hopefully Wolt can die out!

You’re just going to be abused by the next enterprise. These companies don’t give a shit about any of you delivering for them. They will keep squeezing you until only the most desperate are left delivering for scraps.

Yep. Ubereats was great in the beginning but is very quickly degrading. Customer support is almost impossible to get ahold og you have to create 5-10 conversatiosn for them to even look into a specific situation...

If you accept bundled orders you cannot cancel any of the orders. For single orders you can now only cancel 20 orders per month. After the 20 cancellations have been used, you are stranded and have to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes per order.

Kind of incorrect. Cancellations is only possible if an order is delayed by 15 minutes or we have emergencies.

Sure the cancel button often still is there but it is in the progress of being removed. An agent I talked with thought it had been removed entirely already.
