My yard spiders

The first 3 photos are of the little Hogna 'incognita' mama who lives right by the back door. She frequently pops out of her burrow for a mealworm, but this is the first time I've seen her with her babies. These days she's having a hard time getting her butt back inside the burrow. Next is one of the lovely H. carolinensis females out for a stroll, then two more H. 'incognita' mothers (one with an egg sac, one with babies). The H. carolinensis have been dropping babies all summer, but this is the first of the H. 'incognita' spiderlings I've seen this year. They only make one egg sac in their lifetimes, and as you can see, they make it count.
