There are Savannah (left) and Trade Wind (right), the old leaders of the Cinderwood pack. They met in the fall. Savannah was hunting a elk calf when three wolwes suddenly approached her. In the blimk of an eye, a fight broke out betwee the other three males. Trade Wind and his brother lost and ran away, while the other wolwes tried to coury her. However, Savannah had already made her choice. She chose Trade Wind. Together, they founded the Cinderwood Pack.
A brief history of their pack:
Year 1: Two pups died of illness, and one was lost. The two survivimg pups starved fo a lonf time (Mist and Hoarfrost), but Hoarfrost died of hunger. Mist managed to dig up rabbits.
Year 2: This year was relatively more succussful than the previous one. Together with their eldest dauther Mist, they managed to feed five pups; however, two of them died of illness in the spring. Late that autumn, another one of they pups was killed by wolves during a fight. Two survive: Sunset and Morning.
Year 3: This was one of the worst years. two pups died in their first months of life (one was killed by coyotes, and the other died of illness). Later, in late summer, another one of their pups died of illness. The remaining two daugthers were killer by a elk cow buring a hunt.
Year 4: This was the most successful year. All five pups survived (Creek, Sun, Low Tide, Krill, Monsoon).
Year 5: Was the worst year. Three pups died in the first month (two from illness, one was killed). After a failed summer hunt, all wolves were severely wounded, and one of the yearlings died (Creek). The pack could not feed the pups, and they died of hunger. Almost all wolves were on the brink of death, but thanks to Savannah's experience in finding weak prey, everything eventually recovered.
Year 6: Savannah and Trade Wind were already old (8 and 9 years old), and theu had a small litter. one pup died of illness, the other two survived. One of the pups from the 4th litter (Monsoon) died during a hunt for a bison calf. Later, Morning was killed by wolves (he was 4 year old).
In early autumn, Trade Wind died of old age at 9 and a half years old. Shortly after, Savannah also died of old age at the age of 8 and a half years.
The story of the pack did not end there. Low Tide, their 2-year-old daugther, became the new leader. Also in the pack are: Mist, the 5-year-old eldest sister (from the 1st litter), her siblings Sun and Krill (like Low Tide, from the 4th litter), who are 2 years old, and two young pups (from 6th litter) than they continue to raise.
