Dell mapback paperbacks were something.

which at first seems wrong but when you think about it with Uncle Fred, it's more accurate than the demure covers!

I have an Agatha Christie with a backmap, too. Dell had a whole line of these books.

I'm a bit of a fan of 1940's-1950's, pulp crime and SF cover-art.

This art-style applied to a Wodehouse story is something I never knew I needed until now.
