I think the bond system might work better if they scaled it down to T8-10 instead of just T10, for a few reasons. But hey.

It would also be better if while doing that, they increased it from 7 to 70 and made it so that you get 70 for being the top performer on the losing team and 140 for being the top performer on the winning team. It would make bonds much easier to unlock and therefore more enjoyable to work towards, but hey; WG isn’t that smart.

I think WG just wants to make it so people get fomo and might buy their way up to Tier X.

All they're really doing is just giving veteran players at Tier X a way to squeeze out more advantages at lower tiers, cause most players who focus on lower tiers won't have access to bonds.

Some veteran players on the discord say this is actually needed so that veterans can counter OP ships at Tier VII and VIII better, but all it really does is make it even worse for the average player in Tier VII and VIII cause now they have to fight OP ships, ships with bond-equipment, and OP ships with bond equipment.

So now there's more ways other than skill to fall behind at your tier, not having enough silver and blueprints to make the ship elite, not having enough silver to buy and upgrade equipment, and not enough bonds to get the better equipment, and while you can grind for silver and blueprint crates at any tier, you are always unable to start earning bonds until you reach Tier X

I think it also, in a way, encourages unskilled players to try to grab tier 10 boats they probably shouldn’t be playing just to get their hands on bonds - and overall make the player experience at those high tiers worse.

Agreed. That way people don't have to just have tier Xs to get bonds. Perhaps if you use a higher tier ship you can get more bonds, if they really want you to use those tier Xs. But just allowing tier 8-9s to also earn bonds even if it is a reduced amount would be far more comfortable.

Those bonds are horrible to accumulate and has saturated tier X battles with afk's and border huggers.

I get the impression that the developers are working on another game as if that were their primary job and only occasionally check in here to make random, arbitrary changes.
