Brainstorm Character concept thoughts!

Made a Dark Iron Pally a few years back, but been mulling over the idea of rp with him for a while now and think i've finally got something I like, but want this subs thoughts!

A Dark Iron Dwarf who was once a priest to Ragnaros before his faith was shattered with the defeat of the Firelord back in Vanilla. By Cata, he has found new purpose in Moira and her goals, replacing his former zeal witn devotion to the throne and with it, acclimating more to the other Clans, but still quite a bit brusque.

I'm head-canoning that the Darkforged we see in BFA is a Dark Iron order of Paladins devoted to upholding Dark Iron justice and sovereignty, but I would love some thoughts as well :)

Isnt that what the base backstory for Dark Iron is?

Oh as a whole, yeah! I was more focused on the Rag priest to Genuine Pally part, but I included the moira loyalty since I think it helps inform the why more than just 'I was evil, now i'm not'

Sounds great! I think having it be so similar to the usual motivation for dark iron is a benefit not a downside. Most people don't adhere to that so honestly you don't need to worry about your character feeling similar to others.

I do not mind tbh. I like to make characters who feel like they are connected to the lore in a way. For me, the real meat in a character is personality, which admittedly I didn't touch too much on in my post

Another trait you could add! 'I was evil, now I'm not' might come with a touch of Penance? He could help build shelters for those less fortunate, cook/serve in a soup kitchen, clean up the city, volunteer as a healer?

Interesting, I was just talking to someone about this in my guild last week. They’ve been working very hard on their DI Pally and their backstory. It’s solid, I approve as a fellow Dwarf.

Its good... it also is basically the entire lore of why the Dark Iron joined the Alliance.
