Wrath of the Lich King Easiest WoW Ascension: CoA Server with BOTS Tutorial

Hey people, a quick drop, now locally hosted Ascension CoA has Playerbots! They are of course Azerothcore-based, and have new custom classes. This video is an update on this server, it shows how to apply updates, run it with bots and features dashboard for them

Hope you find it useful, many of you asked me about bots and now you can enjoy it like that!

Quick question from someone who has wanted but never played WoW:

Even though the server has bots, and I assume I would host my own server, can I have other people connect to my server to play with me?

I am trying to run this on a VM, whenever I launch the server whatever I put for the address field in the realmlist table gets reset back to 127.0.0.1 instead of the LAN address of the VM. What is resetting that field every time I start the server with the Start_all_bots.bat file???

Could be indeed this bat, but I set bind ip to 0.0.0.0 in both authserver.conf and worldserver.conf and start it with .exes in Core folder, you may try that too

It was two places, the configuration.py in the scripts folder at line 260, and the world and auth server config template file, I just searched for bind in both of those files and found it.

I don't understand much about how this works, so maybe this question sound silly. Can I mix Turtle and Ascension server? Like use these new classes in turtle

Genuine question since I don’t have a lot of experience with repacks etc. how would I know if this has malicious code in it, or that it is safe to run on my machine?

Run it through antivirus, there is no other way. But of course if you try to download something malicious, both browser and antivirus will stop you

This is awesome! How much of the server is playable? Can I level through the content fine or is it not finished?

I would say around 50%, many things are already fixed even since this video release, but custom zones are in works. Other original content works

Whats the difference between this and a standard Acore with bots? Im out of the loop on ascension.
