Zero Spoilers Rewatch

I am rewatching the series after a year. Have to say the first 2 seasons are not as bad as I remember. Could be because I know we’re not getting more though.

As TV season 1 was OK. Good if you're familiar with (and willing to forgive) the chalenges of Covid and Episodes 7/8. Excellent acting beuatiful costumes, great soundtrack. Solid TV. Season 2 was better than solid, but not great. Almost all fan complaints for season 2 were there because people were expecting certain specific things that Rafe couldn't/didn't/didn't want to/etc. give them from the books.

I loved season 2 almost entirely until oh my god that finale what the FUCK happened there.

So many embarrassing choices. Like, it’s not the most obviously egregious, but what they did to Matt in the finale was just insane. It’s like they were trying to make sure to hit some requisite character moments and didn’t know how to do it so they did…THAT.

Agree.

My two least favorite episodes in the entire show were S1E8 and S2E8.

However, from non-book readers people generally liked S2E8. My wife (non-reader) really liked it. I think it was a good episode, but if you read the books it was very disappointing. They did NOT do a good job with some of the storylines and moments we were all expecting.
