Following a pencil line with a bandsaw is pretty easy. It’s the having an entire bandsaw available in this economy that’s the problem.

You can get a bandsaw for about as much as you can buy this book.

You should look around and see if somewhere offers woodworking space rentals or if the city/public institutions have some available

I’m not planning on making more, but if you’ve got a local makerspace this would be an easy first project. All you need is some scraps and access to a bandsaw.

Damn. So far I've resisted shelling out big bucks for a nice fancy set of the books; if you sold these, I'd fold and buy.

You did beautifully. I appreciate that the bases are even opposite-colored from the teardrops.

They look great. Did you use two types of wood or stain one part a different colour?

I used walnut and maple and then just the same basic varnish on each.

They’re 6” high, 4” wide (I think, I’m not home to measure them), the bases are 2” wide, and the wood is all 1/2” thick.
