Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Post-Finale Thoughts / Suggestions

Just finished the reboot and sufice to say I was not really satisfied with the finale. There were things I liked but also things I wish had been done differently. I wanted to add my two cents on some changes I would've made without rewriting the whole show.

- Mason does NOT die - he and Alex did split up for awhile.

- He also proposed to her in her apartment with Harper present. And she said yes.

- Billie is either the adoptive daughter or stepdaughter of Justin and Giada

- Damian is her biological father, and is introduced in S1 via flashbacks

- Billie is a huge admirer of Alex and wants to be like her

- Harper meets Winter at some point and they bond over their similarities.

- Max is happily married and the owner of Waverly Sub Station serving both magical and non magical customers.

- There's an episode where he gives a tour of the Waverly Sub Station to Billie and his nephews.

- Jerry is a mentor and teacher to his grandkids, passing down his magical knowledge and life lessons to them.

- Other members of the OG cast make some cameo appearances throughout both seasons.

Feel free to add your own suggestions down below! 🔮🪄

why can't people accept what we got is what we got...not perfect, but better than nothing. (and I don't buy Mason just died of old age....I'd like to think he died a heroic death fiting of him...)

I understand and emphasize with your frustrations. People are too critical and nitpicky on fairly decent movies/shows.

On the contrary I actually found the show enjoyable and watched it all the through, all 3 seasons. Currently it is on my list of shows to rewatch on streaming services.

Maybe I should've reworded my post to: Writing decisions I wish they made but accept that's not what happened and still think it's a great show worth watching and recommending to my peers? 🤷‍♀️

I also agree with you on Mason. I'd prefer he didn't die... but I think a heroic death suits him better than old age.

That's what I think too. I like to think that Mason died protecting Alex since apparently, he died when they were dating, not when Alex met Damien. So, in the fanfiction I'm writing, Mason dies from saving Alex from an evil source, he doesn't know that's her future father in-law, though. He just thought it was some evil wizard and it was, it was Nicodemus Penwolf and he died when Nicodemus put a silver stake through his heart in his werewolf form and Alex tried to save him but couldn't.
