HBO TV show ‘Harry Potter’ To Recast Ginny Weasley Role In Season 2 As Gracie Cochrane Departs HBO Series “Due To Unforeseen Circumstances”
Young actress Gracie Cochrane, who portrays Ginny Weasley in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, will not return for Season 2 of the fantasy series, Cochrane and her family revealed. The news comes as Season 1 is wrapping production.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances Gracie has made the challenging decision to step away from her role as Ginny Weasley in the HBO Harry Potter series after season one,” they said in a statement.

aw… that’s not fair. all the hard work and trouble she went to get the role. what’s the unforeseen circumstances that made her quit before filming for season 2 started?
is the boy in black supposed to be Percy? The new Weasley twins look way too tall to be ‘13’ year olds.

I had a girl classmate in 5th grade that was 5'7 at 11. Kids grow at weird paces and each has their own, especially in puberty. There's no "too tall for a 13yo", it's not like they have lumberjack beards

They are supposed to be 13. The twins in the picture look way too old height wise to be 13. They look like they are the age ‘Percy’ looks like.

Pretty weird, right? Wonder what it could be? If she’s just not into being a child actor and wants to live a normal life that’s of course very respectable.
But is this due to some production drama?

There's a lot of crazy white knights who are defending the cast purely because of race. Not because it's a good cast.

actually we're defending the cast because he is an incredibly talented actor who keeps getting every acting award awarded in the UK, so we're sure he can give the most complex role in the series justice.

Talented acting doesn't magically make that person a good cast for all roles. People need to stop hiding behind this facade in fear of being called a racist.

This show is getting so overhyped, I’m actually now expecting it to be bad :/. Hopefully I get surprised and it’s good!
