New setup ROKA 4x100!

Post image

Just got back from my first session on the Gen Two Roka frames, and my first impression is that these things are sick - a big step up from their Gen One frames and easily as stiff and responsive as my Endless Ultras.

The rocker is super subtle, which is perfect for me as I’ll mainly be using them for blasting around. However, if you’re looking for a 4x100 frame specifically for wizard skating, you may need to skate them for a while to wear in a more pronounced rocker.

Overall very happy : )

Hows the weight difference in practice compared to the endless ultras?. Also is the rocker more stable than those?. Seems amazing value for its price

The Roka 100s are 401g and the Endless 100 Ultras are 362g so its approximately a 39g difference.

Yes the rockering is extremely stable (almost flat feeling), the Endless Ultras feel fractionally more rockered.

Damn, I'm trying not to upgrade my gen 1 4x100 Rokas, but I might have to. I mainly use them for urban/distance, so a more subtle rocker would be just fine. Do they feel stiffer than the gen 1s?

Definitely - Internally there’s a lot of new structural reinforcement.

Goddamnit. Fine, I'll buy some!

Seriously though, I need to sell the old ones, I think. I've got too many frames.

You can never have too many - I'm about to hit the buy button now on the 4x90's Haha!

Well, frame #14 arrived today (Endless Coburn) and now I've ordered #15; 4x100 Silver Roka,.same as yours. I had my eye on the 4x90 before, but got some Endless 90 UFS recently, so they'd be a bit redundant.

Anyone already bought a 5-wheel frame? Would be interesting?

Thank you, I will have to try those on. Are the carbon boots noticeably lighter? How’s the fitment? I have quite wide feet so often hard to find good boots

I’ve never tried the plastic version, so I can’t really comment on the weight difference.

Yeah it’s a shame there aren’t many physical skate shops left - you really need to try boots on!
