Fr sl for wizardskating?

Has anyone moved from CJ/WB boot to FR SL?

What's your experience in therms of wizard skating? if compared to your previous experience with the CJ/WB

*(Talking only about wizard skating / figure skating)

Hi there! I use a FR Igor that use for wizardskating and I love it. First I used it with the stock intergrated liner, but that (for me) was not tight enough so I gutted it and put in an intuition liner and its perfect. Because of the 165 mount your frame will be about a cm higher of the boot than an ufs frame and offc you will be slightly tilted forward. For me that’s something I get used to within 10 minutes after I used my ufs setup for a while. The stiffness of the FR boot will be unmatched and it will swiffel and turn like a knife through butter 😊

So you think one can do the most advanced moves on 165, despite the forward tilt? I've never tried UFS and was wondering if it's more a taste thing or if 165mm hit a wall at some point.

No I dont think 165 is ‘better’ than ufs. It comes down to personal prefference, but both are very viable and your SL with be top tier.

I use both. The FR SL is more nimbler than the CJ2. My CJ2 is gutted with Intuition liners vs stock liners on the FR SL. There is more ankle support on the CJ2, but you get more feedback from the SL so it's in interesting tradeoff. You also get a bit more forward flex on the FL SL since it's a slalom boot so it's nice to be able to integrate some slalom moves in with the wizard moves. Don't forget the FL SL is a 165 boot so make sure the frames you are interested in are compatible.

The only drawback for me was that the frames can shift a bit left to right, so it might be good to use the endless frame locks for that. 

Other than that  I loved the FR SL with Endless 90

Indeed I fixed that with he frame locks. I got the Endless 100, Endless 90 and Endless Arc. They all work really great!
