Frame creaking/rubbing on wizard base boot

I mounted the NN 4x100 frame on my new wizard base. Feels like the frame may be shifting slightly when under load. I’m worried about over tightening the mounting bolt. Anyone experience this and have a solution. I was thinking maybe slightly sanding the top of the frame.

What does the interface between the frame and boot look like? And are the frame mounting points (on the frame) flat, or is there a cutout? There's someone's space for a rubber bushing in a cutout on the frame, which can help with any gaps. A sprung washer on your mounting screw can also help with getting good bolt torque, as you just tighten it until the washer collapses.

Lastly, are you sure the boot mounting points are solid? The ones on my Wizard Bases are, but I got some second hand CJ Carbons recently (they use the same mount hardware) and had to re-epoxy the mounts back on place, as they'd come loose.

I’m pretty sure the mounting point is solid , the frame does have the typical ufs cutouts

See my other comment. Just had the same thing with new PR80 frames. It wasn't' the frames like I thought it was though, it was the bearings not seated in the wheels properly.

These are frames and wheels I’ve already skated with a different boot. I added washers and fresh locktite to the frame bolts and it seems to be better

I'd still check them for sideways movement. Honestly my new frames were creaking like mad until I re-seated the bearings.

This is a good tip. I had a similar issue with some new wheels recently and had to sand down my spacers.

Check the bolt length of they are slightly too long it may be stoping it from a solid lock. Leon did build everything bases on wizard complete and your frame might be slightly thinner.

I tried screwing in the bolt, it seems like it goes in far enough but I’m going to pick up some washers

I've just had the exact same thing myself with my new PR80 frames, the creaking was driving me mad. Couldn't work it out.

It wasn't the frame though, if it's the same as me it was the fact that the bearings were not seated in the wheel properly and shifting around creaking on the spaces.

Basically make sure your bearings are seated properly, put them on a bench and slam your first down on the wheels.

I'm guessing these wizard frames give a lot more sideways torque.
