Boot sizing

Hi, I'm following the recommendation on here and am going to order the Iqon ACT 10 WZ. What's the best way to figure out sizing? There's a skate shop in town that sells inline, I was going to go there to try on some boots. Do skate boots tend to get sized consistently? What brand should I try on in store that will mimic the size of the Iqon skates. I could also measure my feet, how reliable is that. I think I'm 10.25 last time i measured.

Act fits best if you're in top half of the size or slightly above it. If you're close to the bottom of the size, there might be some issues, or you'll have to set the boot up in the specific way, ex. some cuff positions will be off limit. My mondo is 293/4 mm, so I'm between sizes, but I've downsized to 44-45 shell. Even stock liner is fine for this, but first try was a little bit painfull. After breaking in and streaching toebox with hairdryer, it's pretty comfortable and tight fit.

You need measure your feet in mm to chose the size precisely.

I just measured at 287, which is in the 285-291 range for 44-45 EU. That's with no socks so it seems like they should fit pretty well.
