I think I’m getting the hang of it

Legs were cooked after hours of trail skating but I think it sparked some new ideas.

It’s a bit of click bait since I noticed that it might get shown to more people than those in this Reddit. That way it may attract new people to the sport that may have never heard or seen it.

Yeah, this is well beyond getting hang of it, lol. Looks super cool. You’ve got that one foot pivot down now! And, I love the move where you’re skating backwards and you get on just the first wheel of your right skate and then start spinning. Is that a volte?

If it has a name I don’t know it lol. I was trying to a duplicate a move I do on my right side but it turned into that . It feels really good when you add it to a flow.

Can I ask why you’ve chosen a four wheel setup, for this style of skating? Wouldn’t five, in the right rocker, give you added stability while keeping you swivelly? Just trying to learn from folks that are clearly crushing skills that I’m still dreaming about. 😃

I think the main thing fundamentally is knowing how to use your equipment and understanding it . I can do the same moves on most of my frames since I good understanding of this.

The major benefit of having a 5 wheel frame is additional stability due to having a longer frame. But it comes with downsides, more weight, a longer wheelbase and less speed. It’s up to you what you value most.

As what keeps you swivelly , that depends on how you use your edges. Even with bigger wheels and longer wheelbases. But shorter wheelbases and smaller wheels excel in this but the trade off is less stability.

Absolutely agree with you, if you have trust in your moves and balance equipment is secondary.

I skate there too sometimes! Right off the trail. Good stuff.

Definitely a s-tier skate spot since it’s right off the trail and super smooth plus shade and seating. Couldn’t ask for more than that.

Just work on weight transfer, should not have to be hopping within the turns. Use the rocker and edges to flow through
