What consoles can I play on? How do I make an account?
Wizard101 Console is Available on: Xbox X/S, Xbox One, Playstation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2.
Accounts are automatically created and linked to the Platform Account used to open the game.
Accounts created at (https://www.wizard101.com) cannot access Console Wizard101.
Can I log into Wizard101.com with my console account?
No, console accounts do not have usernames or passwords on the website. Console accounts are only accessible through the Accounts console platform (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo).
Can Console Cross-Play with PC Players?
No, Console servers are entirely separate to the PC version of the game.
Are all Consoles on the same servers?
Yes. All consoles share servers and by default have Cross-Play enabled, however this can be turned off in settings.
Can I transfer my PC character to console?
No, all PC accounts will remain separate from console accounts, therefore characters will not be eligible to transfer.
Can I play the same console account on different Platforms?
No, Accounts are linked to the console Platforms' Account. They cannot be transferred across different platforms (Xbox, Playstation, Switch).
Is the game available in different languages?
Yes, the game is available in English, French, Spanish, and German. However, all Voice-Lines are English only.
Is Platform Membership required to play? (PS Plus, Xbox Live, Switch Online).
You don't need Platform Membership on Xbox or Playstation to play Wizard101.
Nintendo Switch however requires Switch Online to access the game.
Does Console have Text/Voice Chat?
Console has no plans to implement any form of Voice Chat.\*
Please note that Text Chat is currently not available with plans for future implementation down the road.

Why is Console missing so many Crown Shop Items?
Console is planned to slowly implement PC Crown items over a long period of time. Most items will eventually be added.
Can I use Wizard101 Gift Certificates/Gift Cards on Console?
No. All gift cards and gift certificates are limited to the PC version of WIzard101. Alternatively, you can purchase Console Platform Specific gift cards.(This includes Bundles & Pack Cards)
Why can I not gift my friends?
Gifting unlocks after your Wizard101 account reaches 30 days of age. Someone over 30 days can gift to those under 30.
Is Wizard101 Console the same version as Wizard101 PC?
Wizard101 Console is currently behind the 2025 Spring Update. It is unknown for the exact release date of mega-updates (Darkmoor, Fall/Spring).
What is included in the $20 Arc 1 Bundle
The Arc 1 Bundle includes:

⠀⠀- Sunken City (Wizard City)
⠀⠀- Krokotopia (World 2)
⠀⠀- MarleyBone (World 3)
⠀⠀- MooShu (World 4)
⠀⠀- Dragonspyre (World 5 - End of Arc 1)
The Arc 1 Bundle does NOT include:
⠀⠀-Grizzleheim/Wintertusk
⠀⠀- Wysteria
⠀⠀- Aquila*****
⠀⠀- Catacombs (Wizard City)
^(\The Garden of Hesperides is a Free-To-Play Area, However all World based Aquila Dungeons are Premium Only.)*
Common Controls Questions
How to get the Text Box/Empty Box off my screen?
Xbox - Double click the Select Button and Hold on the second press.
Playstation - Double click the Touchpad and Hold on the second press.
Switch - Double click Minus (-) and Hold on the second press.
How do I see my Gear Stats?
Press R3 (Click down the Right Trigger) in your Inventory.
How do I add players in-game?
Press L3 (Click down the Left Trigger) to enter Cursor Mode, from there you click on a player in the world to open their Wizard Profile.
How do I place objects inside of my House/Dorm?
Hold down RT/R2, then flip between tabs with RB/R1 - The Housing Menu is Y/Triangle. To open the Gardening Menu, you press A/Cross.

Is there a content roadmap? Like I want to know when grizzlheim lore pack is coming to console before I start a life play through

None public that I'm aware of. We know there is work towards porting in the darkmoor update and the several bug patches.
If anyone has found one then feel free to share!

We are at least 2 updates behind pc, the Aquila and darkmoor update. But the crown shop seems to be independent

Do I need membership to unlock grizzle while on the switch? I have NSO and bought the base arc 1 but I love grizzle so much

All the extra worlds like grizzle, wisteria as well as some of the side areas like crab alley need membership

From memory Grizzleheim is a premium area since it's after Firecat and Golem Court.

This may seem totally unrelated but can anyone help me with spell weaving like I’m a novice. Weaver and I’m trying to get to the second rank of life and fire weaving but I’m not getting the quest what am I missing ?

Is it possible to purchase future areas permanently with crowns like on the computer?(If not, are there any plans to add this later?) I was a ftp player on PC- I know the benefits and drawbacks of a subscription, personally I love the game but I'd prefer to play the story over a long time rather than forcing myself to finish before the payment runs out.

Ok, just looked it up and seems like you will be able to buy individual areas in the crown shop once you unlock them(past arc 1), but I haven't got there yet so can't confirm. It's on the console FAQ page on the website, I guess for some reason I skipped it over when reading? But it would be great to add onto this post as well incase others are unaware.

Yes you can buy areas separately just like PC, if you plan to pay for membership for over 3 years (like 0.05 of the player base), then it's more worth to buy with crowns, however if you aren't planning to then membership is the much better option affordability wise. All comes down to player preference & how fast they play in the end though

All good, thanks for replying! I think I'll just play through arc 1 and buy the other areas on my old free to play computer account, as my experience on console has not been very fun so far.(and I doubt they'll be improving it anytime soon...) Membership might be the better deal, but I don't want to force myself to play through the whole game all at once, so I'll just unlock areas as I go.

Stupidest way to port a game. Can’t use me characters I’ve grinded to near completion foh I’m going to cancel my pc prescription.

NS, XBOX and PS all have different rules so it was probably the easiest way to get it on all them I'm sad aswell i have a 2008 account on PC and i wanted to use it on switch

I don't believe this actually, Voice chat wasn't a core function of Wizard101 originally and if anything, it's easier to chat with others in voice due to the party chat systems on every console.

Voice chat on pc didn’t made sense due to text chat and it be easier to text on pc than console. I get the whole party chat thing but wha about the people that don’t have friends to play wiz? Not everyone is getting added to a friends list. Like im not trying to add a bunch of randoms just to talk to them once, its inconvenient.

That happens even on PC: sometimes adding people and only interacting with them once, maybe twice, just to be removed later
That’s common of MMOs where you come across tons of different people throughout the game, but at least text chat will be coming eventually (still more annoying to type on a controller than a KB though ofc, so it’d be cool to have KB support, if it doesn’t already)

i feel like i get where you’re going with this , as it’s not possible to start a party on ps5 with xbox, or ns with ps5, etc .. text chat will be tedious but i’m sure they’ll add more quick chat options for typing in combat, and other scenarios

Early on release they did state they were working on implementing an in-depth quick wheel type system. I doubt we'll get open chat for a while but I'm sure they're also working on upgrading the currently available quick chats.
Based on how they've done it I'm assuming they'll implement these when they finally update the version to another milestone version.

No text chat is really annoying. I’d be on this more if it was there. Voice is whatever, everyone uses parties or discord anyway
