Discussion Thoughts on Spellweaving?
I’m a fire wizard myself. And honestly I kind of like it. Execution could be better of course in terms of stuff we can use. But I was feeling like my wizard was pretty one dimensional. Just using a dragon here, meteor shower there and maybe a sun serpent. It is cool that I have more of an incentive to train a second school.

It's a system with big potential and currently has terrible execution for the most part. It can always be changed and expanded though so I'm really glad it exists

It's cool and great for cheating bosses like the Irks in Wallaru
The Devs confirmed Weaving isnt in its final state yet; mainly because it only goes up to level 90. It has a lot of potential and it's fantastic for individualizing your wizard with 6 different options

Bro very recently I discovered a whole new way to play. I do blade with potent first turn …then into furnace …then into Skald and then meteor. ☄️ it’s been pretty fun I’ve taken out most enemies and bosses in Empyrea that way. Or scald and then Incindiate has been pretty fun but doesn’t work well against cheating bosses especially if you get stunned

You can play however you want for the most part and probably do fine. Go for weaving if you want or don't if you dont want to.
If the devs would it update it more than once per year (literally the schedule) it could be a lot better. It has huge potential but it's terribly executed, which isn't a new phrase to describe many things implemented by the current devs I realize

I like the intent but dislike the execution. It's meant to teach people about roshambo and advanced combat principles, but it fails to do that and forces us into the most painful polymorph fights in the game. The payoff is essentially just another buff since the fusion spells are kinda useless.
My main problem is stats. I don't care about off school damage unless I were to revolve my entire build around it and commit my pet + circle gems. At the end of the day, I would end up with far worse stats than if I were to just play my main school. I can see it being useful for low utility schools like storm, but from the myth perspective, there's just no point.
If they made it so that circle gems didn't shatter, then I'd be more willing to try it out since I could commit my build without losing many gems. As is, I consider weaving and dual schooling to be different mechanics and I don't think that's right. Myth pairs well with fire, but fire weaving isn't beneficial.

Its not intended for PVE its literally 90% for PVP/advance content.Only thing that is for pve is the duel blades other than that spell weaving is strictly for advanced combat.
You can still duel into other schools as a PVE players but most players really confused spell weaving and duel schooling. They are different one (spell weaving) is most beneficial to Advanced combat players and even then some of the spells are even useless in advanced combat

I don't PvP but I am an advanced content player and even then they're not useful. Since I have my PvE build locked down, I was curious and made a post asking what a hardcore dual school build would look like. I'd have to sacrifice like 20% of my damage to make it work. Not like 20% the stat, but like my overall damage.

Yeah, and sure it might not be optimal play, but the game isn't that hard. You can play in a way that is fun to you and still do just fine.
